Dark Knight Returns to be set 8 years ahead of Dark Knight. Also, this movie seems to be getting a lot of flack from the film blogs. Are we be set up for a huge disappointment from Nolan?
While it will be hard to repeat the critical success of The Dark Knight, the film will absolutely will be a financial success. It will have one of the top opening weekends ever and it will be a "must see" for most people.
I agree with the above statement completely. With the hype coming off of "The Dark Knight," this will most definitely be a financial success but with hype comes high expectations. According to the actors in the film this is going to be an epic finale and is everything that the fans are hoping for but it is hard to believe that it will trump the earlier film. We will just have to wait and see but I have faith that Nolan will pull it off once again.
financial success? yes. obviously. but that's not what i was thinking. but can it match the hype or even the hype of the second one? that's what seems to be going in the film blogs. they were going crazy over the amount of leaked photos, and not in a great way. i'm just thinking this may not please the fan boys. but hopefully i'm wrong, and the new trailer looks good so maybe i am.
