Clearly other manufacturers have chosen to create products, even if not good ones, which in support of the system that Apple constructed.
Think about it, Apple created itunes, which is one of the biggest online music store, but it goes with their mp3 player called the iPod. Now everyone calls mp3 players iPods. Most people buy into the franchise because they are conditioned to want these products.
I think Apple already is skynet, the apple company is doing exactly what their 1984 commercial tries to not make: conformity and control.
After having tried Siri out I have to admit that while it is cool, it is pretty creepy. You can ask it where to hide a dead body and it will try to help you!
