The film is about "Three high school friends gain superpowers after making an incredible discovery. Soon, though, they find their lives spinning out of control and their bond tested as they embrace their darker sides." These three boys gain telekinetic powers and decide to experiment with their new abilities.
This film looks yet another example of this dark, everyone-can-be-a-super trend that recent superheroes seem to be following. At least that's what I'm taking away from this poster. If anyone wants to read more/watch the preliminary trailer for the film:

I think this film looks pretty good and I'm excited to see it next year! It does bring up the question of how telekinetic powers function in superhero tales as opposed to physical powers. X-men deals with this through Professor X and Jean Gray but I'll be interested to see Chronicle's take.
