Blackberry and Android Phones have teamed up and made a new "SmartWatch" called inPulse. This watch syncs up with your phone and allows you to view all email messages, texts, alerts, calendars, etc on your watch. It even has caller ID on your watch so that you can see who is calling you without even taking out your phone. In a world where people are already attached to their phones, I think this takes tethering to a whole new level, literally always having your phone accessible on your wrist.

ReplyDeleteI think this device will heighten people's expectations for "real time" responses even more. After all you're phone would literally be strapped to you, thus denying you the experience of ignoring your phone for long periods of time. What do other people think? Would you expect someone to get back to you right away if they had a phone/watch?
